Frequency Control in a Hydroelectric Power Plant with Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System-Based Modern Controllers

In power systems, the constant frequency, voltage, and output are desired determine quality of generated electrical energy. Therefore, frequency control is crucial in systems. The parameters conventional controllers used generation plants determined according to system's characteristics at stage installation, they cannot adapt changing system dynamics as lifespan increases. Thus, studies on automatic adaptation controller continuously needed. this study, PI PID applied for a hydroelectric plant were examined comparatively with Fuzzy Gain Scheduled (FGPI) Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System-based (ANFIS-PI) (ANFIS-PID) simulation environment. obtained results demonstrated that quite successful compared others.
